Oven French Toast with Blueberries |
Ingredients:
- loaf of french bread
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 cups blueberries
- a little more sugar (a Tbsp or two)
Method:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cut the french bread into thick slices. Place the bread into a 9" x 13" inch pyrex pan.
- Combine eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
- Put the blueberries over the bread.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and a little more sugar.
- Bake approximately 1 hour or until golden brown.
- Serve with maple or blueberry syrup.
