This project requires some patience and perseverance. Very young children may need to start out with small pictures.
You will need:
- Crayola crayons
- Paper
- Popsicle sticks or other scraping instrument
The first two steps require some time and patience.
Start by scribbling with b colors on the paper. Colors can overlap, but should be filled in as much as possible. Color as much of the paper as possible.
Take a black crayon and completely cover the colors in the first layer.
With a popsicle stick or other scraping instrument, scratch a picture in the black layer. The b colors will show through where you've scratched off the black.
Your picture can be framed and taped to a sunny window, where the sun will shine through your colors and make your picture even more b and visible. |
